To the Parents of Study Abroad Students

Our mission statement is 'to promote study abroad opportunities that fully support the learning needs of the students, and help facilitate the student's study abroad experience being academically recognised at their home educational institution.'

A.S.A. believes that parents have an important role in a successful Study abroad opportunity for their 'children'. Parent want to be re assured that the study aboard opportunity is going to be a positive one, a safe one, and an enriching one.

A.S.A is a firm believer that parental support for their child, makes a big difference. For this reason, we are happy for parents to contact us directly if they have any concerns. A real strength of our program is that the A.S.A. Educational institutes are all small, and therefore your child will not just be a 'number'. In fact the opposite. The service will be personal, with the attempt to give the best possible study aboard experience.

Each institute is carefully chosen because it has programs specifically designed for Students studying aboard. In turn each institute carefully chooses a nice local family for the home stay. Many of the families have been offering their homes and lives to the students for many years. Most of the mothers realise they can not replace the one at home, but that they are 'loco parental' and want to look after your son or daughter the same way they would want theirs looked after in a overseas country.
