One question that many wish to know is: How do I receive credits?

There are five main ways of achieving credits when studying on our programs. Every university has different requirements, so you should check with your College/University as to the best method of achieving credits while you are studying abroad. In all cases you should seek pre approval from your home university before you embark on your study abroad program

1. Your University recognises the Institute of higher learning you are planning to study at, and awards you credit in comparable courses at your University.

2. Your University requests the syllabi of courses you are planning to take. They asses them, and award credits for comparable courses

3. The Institute of higher learning you are planning to study abroad at is partnered with a US University/College. You enrol at this course with the partner University and study abroad Institute of Higher learning, and the credit is transferred from the partner University to your University

4. Short-term faculty-led programs (e.g. a summer study abroad program with the universities professors). You join this study abroad course. You are awarded credits by the US University, and the credit is transferred from the partner University to your home University

5. You take classes at the Institute of higher learning while studying abroad, but you sit the assessments (exams) of your  home University  comparable courses when you return to your University.

We invite you to look at the A.S.A. programs, and choose the one that you think you will enjoy, and gain the most from. This is a once in a lifetime experience - make the most of it!
